    JP Morgan Chase setting up call center in Cebu

    CEBU CITY — Global financial services firm JP Morgan Chase & Co. is expanding its operations in the Philippines by putting up a call center in Cebu.

    Senior executives of the New York Stock Exchange-listed company flew in recently to monitor retrofitting work on a leased space at the eBloc Tower in Asiatown IT Park.

    Rainerio “Bong” Borja, president of Aegis PeopleSupport, said JP Morgan Chase would initially hire about 2,000 people. Mr. Borja met with the executives of JP Morgan since the financial services company is a client of Aegis PeopleSupport.
